Westhill’s Mission: The 7 Practices to Transform Lives

This Is Who We Are

This seven-week series answers that question. These aren’t aspirational goals or programs we’re launching—they’re the lived reality of how we pursue transformation together as a church family in Regina and beyond.

Whether you’ve been part of Westhill for decades or you’re exploring for the first time, these seven practices reveal what makes us who we are.

Why These Seven Practices Matter

At Westhill, we believe transformation doesn’t happen by accident. It happens through consistent, faithful engagement with God’s truth, His people, and His mission.

These seven practices define how we live that out together:

  • Preaching – We center our formation around faithful exposition of God’s Word
  • Prayer – We practice communal dependence on God, resisting cultural self-reliance
  • Discipleship – We’re committed to making disciples, not just gathering believers
  • Worship – We view worship as whole-life response to God, not just Sunday morning
  • Service – We give our bodies to God for the benefit of others
  • Stewardship – We manage all of life—time, talents, treasure—under God’s rule
  • Relationships – We pursue authentic community where iron sharpens iron

When you understand these practices, you understand Westhill. When you engage with these practices, you become part of what God is doing here.

These practices aren’t easy. They challenge us, stretch us, and sometimes cost us. We don’t claim to have mastered them—we’re ordinary people doing our very best to faithfully live them out together.
