God made people to be in relationship with one another. Studies have proven that women are healthier emotionally, physically, and spiritually when they have meaningful friendships in their lives other than with their husbands and children. Women’s ministries are supposed to be a place where we can talk about the grace of God and how He impacts things like infertility, divorce, singleness, sexuality, reproductive years, or menopause. It’s about community made possible by the ties of His redemptive love.

Women need each other and this can be a place where spiritual growth happens. There are a variety of opportunities for women to get together to build relationships, make new friends and grow their lives spiritually.

On the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, we have a coffee time for young moms and a play date for children in our nursery area. Not only is this a good time for our moms to connect but also lots of fun for the kids. We have experienced good attendance and on some mornings the space is crowded with babies, toddlers, toys, and moms. There are always some goodies and fruit for everyone to enjoy.

Women in their 40s get together each month for various activities such as Saturday morning breakfasts, dessert nights and pot lucks. The dates of these events will be posted on the Women’s Ministry bulletin board. There are Bible studies specifically for women, one in the afternoon and one in the evening, with topics that women find important and relevant to their lives.
