Older Adults
Our VISION is to see our older adults increasingly regarded as spiritual examples in our congregation and community based on a sociological updating of 1 Timothy 4:12
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are [older], but set an example for the believers”
God envisions us growing in spiritual maturity throughout the span of our lives. In Psalm 92:12-15 we read
“The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.? They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, The Lord is upright.”
We all have lots of room for spiritual growth in our lives and ?many of our older adults feel the same way. It is inspiring to see many still actively serving in our communities, our extended families, and in our church. These people are eager to discern and then do the good works that God had planned for them even before they were born (Ephesians 2:10). Although our older adults are involved in many areas of our church, we also have monthly meetings or events?for fellowship & outreach.
