Merv joined the team at Westhill in 2018 and provides pastoral care to our older adults.

Family and Other Interests

He is married to Cathy, his wife of 31 years and they are both excited about the possibilities ahead for ministry. Merv enjoys playing guitar and singing and his favorite genre of music is Classic Country and Southern Gospel Music. Camping with family and friends is always a special occasion for Merv.

Education / Experience

Merv obtained a Graduate Diploma in Ministry from Carey Theological College at the University of British Columbia. Prior to taking the position at Westhill, Merv spent time 25 years working for the Government of Saskatchewan in the Ministry of Health. Merv has been one of our Adult Bible Teachers, participates on worship teams, has chaired the Deacons Ministry, and has been a member of our Board of Directors. Merv says his interests are in finishing well and helping others to do the same.
