What We Believe
The Trinity
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God the Father
We believe in God the Father, Creator of all things, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient.
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, his virgin birth, his sinless life, his miracles, his atoning death, his bodily resurrection and his coming personal return in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling power and fullness the Christian is enabled to live a godly life in this present world.
The Bible
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the only inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative, written Word of God.
Last Things
We believe this present world will conclude in God's timing and a new heaven and earth will be established. Following the return of Christ, the triumph over evil, the resurrection of all, and the final judgment, those who have accepted Christ will live forever with God (heaven) and those who have rejected his salvation will be banished from God's presence (hell).
The Ordinances
We believe there are two ordinances given to the church: baptism and The Lord's Supper. All persons accepting Christ as Saviour are to be baptized by immersion, symbolizing the death, burial, and resurrection of the believer in Christ. The Lord's Supper is to be shared regularly by believers in remembrance of our Saviour's death.
Church Membership
We believe the local church is to be made up of Christians, those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and have been baptized by immersion.
Christian Life
We believe that living the Christian life is a process of commitment and maturation. We realize that every person is a sinner, and that those saved by grace are called to live according to moral standards as set out in the Bible.
